The company was founded in 1972 by Eric De Troyer. Since 1996, the second generation has been at the helm under Stefan Van Sande. From an ultra-modern building in Aalst of more than 5,000 m2, we supply a large assortment of daily fresh fish. De Troyer is part of Cornelis Vrolijk.

De Troyer provides a diverse selection that is delivered just-in-time. Driven employees take the orders daily and delivery to the customer takes place during the course of the next day.

De Troyer is a second-generation fish company with a dynamic approach and carries out all operations in a state-of-the-art new building. We can provide high quality products thanks to experienced filleters who cut and portion gross fish in-house. We also have special machinery for retail, namely MAP and SKIN packaging.

We have customized machines specifically designed for the retail sector. The gross fish is filleted and portioned in-house, after which the fresh fish is packaged. We realize the two possible packaging methods on the MAP line or the SKIN line.

MAP stands for "modified atmosphere packaging. The fresh produce ends up in a tray, after which the machine adds a mixture of nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The whole thing is then hermetically sealed. Odorless packaging and a longer shelf life are the result. Unlike MAP, SKIN is not an abbreviation. The designation "SKIN" refers to the second skin the machine puts on the fresh product. The packaging neatly follows the contours of the product, as it were. Consequently, the fresh fillet is not flattened, so that its natural shape is beautifully preserved. A classic vacuum packaging would absolutely not be able to guarantee such a result.
